This blog is dedicated to the proposition that the Catholic faith and civil liberty are compatible and that each flourishes in the presence of the other. We are committed to the idea of a limited government whose primary duty is the preservation of the liberty of individual citizens, and to the moral responsibility of individuals before God and their community. We stand on our faith that the Catholic Church is the one true Church founded by Jesus Christ and that freedom exists in service to the truth. We also hold that no society of free people can tolerate religious coercion even if it is apparently imposed with the benefit of the individual in mind, and even if the intended benefit was to bring him to salvation in the true faith. No one can be forced to love the Lord. Love cannot be compelled. Love, in order to be, must be free. Therefore we affirm the essential truth in the teaching of Dignitatis Humanae and hold it to be compatible with the longstanding teaching of the Catholic Church, older statements in papal bulls and in works of rightly revered Doctors of the Church notwithstanding.

Can the writer(s) of this blog please send me an email? I host a talk show on an Eastern Shore radio station and I love this blog. I have been trying to hammer home the “Catholibertarian” stance (although I’ve never thought to use that phrase) for a long time. I thought I was alone, honestly. My email is Matt@wgmd.com. I’d really like to talk to you a little more about your work on this blog. Thanks!
I have emailed my reply.
Incidentally, Matt, Teresa comes from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and in some of the early years of our marriage we lived with her parents in Salisbury.
Matt,
I have sent you another email. T & I are in your area. Call us (phone number in email).
Kevin
I like your insight. I think I’m a Catholibertarian too!
Prayers for a new administration, one that values Life and Liberty. Sad for the doctors and nurses who no longer will have the Concience Clause. When I worked at a teaching hospital, it was the saving grace for those anesthesiologists who were either Protestant or Catholic. Now it’ll be “Our way or the Hi-Way.”…..another strike against our Liberties.

I have to admit that I don’t know anything about Liberterarian philosophy although my oldest child considers himself libertarian. I look forward to learning more. Thanks for following my blog. I’m happy to be following you, too.
We are not strict Libertarians. We believe in liberty in conjunction with both morality and responsibility. We are not Ron Paul libertarians even though we do support some of his positions. Thank you for the follow. God Bless.
Congratulations! You have been nominated for the Super Sweet Blogging Award. Keep up the good work!
You can find your nomination in my blog.
Thank you so much! I am honored. I have family in town so been a bit busy but will get to your blog to humbly accept this award soon. God Bless.

Thanks for showing interest in what I put out. I sincerely hope you
continue to find my works entertaining & pleasurable. Please invite
others too. Be safe, be fair, be good.
I used to believe this. The election of 2012 has changed my mind.
Don’t lose faith, Ted. Keep praying and wait on the Lord. If the election results are intensely disappointing and depressing to you, check out my most recent post on coping with defeat and try the stress reduction technique in video. Google either EFT or FasterEFT and “How To Tap” to give it try.
Wow! I am so happy I found this blog. It’s nice to know there are others out there in cyberspace. I have a feeling I am going to learn alot here. Praise Jesus for it!
I have just given you the Liebster award. See my homepage for details.
Glory to God! Thank you for your prayers, I look forward to being connected! p/s, you know the background you are using? I made that! 😀
Hi, and thank you for the follow! You have an interesting site, and I look forward to learning more from it. God bless you! 🙂
Dang, Matt Walsh is asking for more info. from here. 3 years later, he is practically a household name. I will have to read more here.
Hi Teresa and Kevin, You have an interesting perspective. I agree with some of your ideas and believe God is love too, which for me means all paths lead to God. Thanks for following my blog. I hope you find something of value.
blessings, Brad
