Barack Obama became president by attacking what have since become his own policies. In 2008, candidate Obama accused John McCain of planning “drastic cuts in Medicare, $882 billion worth.” President Obama has cut $716 billion from MediCare to pay for ObamaCare, as the Mitt Romney campaign reminds voters in a new ad:

This ad is beautiful, the way Mitt Romney uses Obama’s own words against him. Pure genius in my book.

Over the past week or so I made rounds to some of my favorite blogs and have found some news of interest to share with you.  Bob at The Camp of the Saints has the scoop on how Iran is scarily close to attaining a nuclear bomb, which will send chills up your spine.  I’ll be keeping Israel in my thoughts and prayers.  Is it time for Israel to act offensively against Iran before it’s too late? Over at Maggie’s Notebook, Maggie has a post with a video on Sarah Palin’s bus tour where   Sarah Palin said that it was one of the best weeks of her life and – It’s about our founding!   Last Friday John from Sentry Journal wrote a great piece called What If… in which he criticized both Ben Bernanke and the Federal Reserve, he advocates for using our Founders as a benchmark to judge members of congress, and asks what if we actually gave capitalism a chance?  This had me thinking…  What if social security and medicare were never instituted?  What if the policies of both FDR’s New Deal and LBJ’s Great Society were never instituted?  Would our country be in such dire financial straights as it is in today?  Would we be more community-oriented?  Today would individuals in neighborhoods have turned to one another for support instead of people living isolated lives and being dependent on the government for help?
