The first rule when it comes to the Left, whether it be Left-Wing Catholics or other progressives, is Watch What They Are Accusing The Right of Doing: That’s How You’ll Know What They (the Left) Are Up To. (That’s my husband’s verbal formulation of an already fairly well-known rule).
Morning’s Minion is refusing to acknowledge my comment in which one of my questions consisted of asking him whether he believed in the long-standing Catholic social teaching of subsidiarity.
Here is my comment:
These were all simple to the point questions. I just wanted to know his position on a major social teaching of the Catholic Church. So much for having a diverse conversation on Catholic social teaching.
Overall Vox Nova seems to not be a closed-minded blog fixated on big government policies.
I wonder what Morning’s Minion has against answering this question? If he truly is for adhering to Catholic social doctrine and not just pushing a Leftist/Marxist perversion of social justice as well as a perversion of Catholic social teaching why would he refuse to answer this simple question? Would his answer reveal that he is in fact doing exactly what he is accusing Catholic “right-wingers” of doing and being deficient in?
In his post Vatican Knows More About Economics Than Closeted American Right-Wingers Morning’s Minion makes the assertion that Catholic “right-wingers” are ideologically bound and do not adhere to Catholic social doctrine but I contend that Morning’s Minion and others at Vox Nova are the ones who push the envelope in their questioning of Church Tradition and Catholic social doctrine. At times their questioning borders on being quasi-heretical. A number of contributors at Vox Nova defend the “Spirit of Vatican II” philosophy while dismissing and ignoring the previous 2000 years of Tradition. You can see what I mean here, here, here, here, and here.
The Vox Nova crowd defends those who believe in the non-Traditional, and those who cause scandal to the Church while those of us who are Catholic “right-wing” Traditionalists defend Catholic Church Tradition and fight to stop those who would cause scandal to the Church. We refuse to recognize those who cause scandal to the Church as faithful Catholics in good standing.
I think you have an idea of who actually adheres to Church teaching and who tries to undermine Church Tradition as well as the Church’s positions on moral issues.
