I had a bit of an emotional morning. In the midst of looking for something else I came upon some information on adoption and tears started running down my cheeks. After I had calmed down and collected myself words just started flowing in a way unexplainable. Here is one of the poems I created.
Life’s Detour
A long road I have been on
One that now has taken a bit of a curve
Not the end but a new beginning with truth beside us and light ahead
We know God is with us on our new journey
We are called to be strong people of faith in both good times and bad times
We follow God’s will as hard as it might be as we forge ahead on our new journey
We know that with God all things are possible
Not the end but a new beginning with truth beside us and light ahead
We know God is with us on our new journey
We are called to be strong people of faith in both good times and bad times
We follow God’s will as hard as it might be as we forge ahead on our new journey
We know that with God all things are possible

Sorry you had a “bad” morning, but it seems like God was putting His words into your heart. It is a “new beginning” Teresa and one I know you and Kevin are going to handle with the upmost of grace and faith. Love you and God Bless, SR
SR,
Kevin and I have grown closer to each other from this experience. And we have grown closer in our faith. Like I explained to Kevin this morning if I didn’t get the surgery we wouldn’t know that my ovaries were severely damaged. God said “It was time” to me and the reason(s) are becoming clearer each day. This gives us more time to either adopt or be foster parents or whatever God calls us to be. Thank you very much for your comment. God Bless.
Teresa, God’s light is shining in you even in your pain and sorrow. Your poem shows your great faith in a period of trial. You know that all things work together for good for those who love God……and you certainly love Him. Prayers for you and Kevin as you embark on uncharted roads. God bless you both.
Thank you very much for your thoughtful words @8kidsandabusiness. God Bless.
Beautiful poem, Teresa. Good things will come in the future, you just wait and see.
Thank you TCL. I am trusting that good things will come in the future. Thanks for your positive words of encouragement. God Bless.
A beautiful poem. I can identify with unexpected turns in life. I never imagined we would bury one of our children before I turned 40. Nevertheless, that is where we found ourselves. By the grace of God, we are still trying to find our way over a year later. God is the Rock in the midst of our storm. May He be the same for you.
“God is the Rock in the midst of our storm.” This shines through in your posts. Thank you for your kind words. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
Lovely poem. Inspiring thoughts.
