Wonderful story.
I heard about Irene Sendler a couple of years ago. The fact that she was a nurse means I have an obvious bias towards her
Teresa, I’d like to give you 2 blogger awards. If you’d like to accept, come to my blog and you can get the instructions there.
Thank you very much 8 kids and a business. I am truly honored. Sorry about the delay in response but I am dealing with some health issues and went to the ER yesterday. Unfortunately problems unresolved so far. Will be over to your place very soon. God Bless.
Irena Sendler was a hero, there is no doubt. And I believe she considered herself a Catholic. However, she was part of “Zegota”, a liberal-socailist organization. I would interested in finding out more about how she reconciled being a Catholic and part of a socialist group. I do understand that during the Nazi occupation of Poland, a lot of previously opposed groups worked together.
