Earlier this week I posted an article about an elementary school that had changed the words to Lee Greenwood's song "God bless the USA" to "We love the USA".
Mr. Greenwood weighed in, telling Fox News on Thursday that he wouldn’t allow the school to use his song if they planned to remove “God” from the lyrics.
“The most important word in the whole piece of music is the word ‘God,’ ” he said.
