I am so sick of this anti-Christian blasphemous art crap that so-called artists claim to be art. Ants crawling on a Crucifix is NOT ART!!
Apparently after the “Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture,” was closed at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery the Tacoma Art Museum has partnered with the Brooklyn Museum to bring you the controversial “art” exhibit which shows ants crawling all over Jesus on a cross. The exhibit is also supposed to show David Wojnarowicz’s “Fire in My Belly”.
These extreme artist activists claim that this is supposed to bring awareness to the loss and pain of AIDS victims. Hmmm… How is showing blasphemous “art” supposed to bring awareness about AIDS victims? That is just nonsensical. You can sign this petition here to protest against Brooklyn Museum of Art hosting the blasphemous “art” showing ants crawling on a crucifix.
Would these people – so-called artists — ever consider offending Muslims like they offend Christians with their so-called art? I highly doubt it. I dare some artist to actually do an exhibit similar to this.
I doubt that it will happen because liberal homosexual activist artists actually care about offending Muslims, although they do not think twice about offending Christians.
Disclaimer: I did not take this picture, I found it on the internet. I did not put bacon on a Koran. My husband wants me to make this clear so I do not get hunted by jihadis.

The most telling part of your post is your husband’s demand of a disclaimer. I don’t blame your husband, my first thought when I saw the photo was, “holy crap!” that could get her in trouble. What is sad was the need to say you didn’t take the photo for fear of getting lynched by a bunch of 7th century nutjobs.
It’s unfortunate that people use their First Amendment rights to desecrate a crucifix, then charge stupid people to view it as art. Hopefully, people will refuse to go to the exhibit, but I doubt that will happen. Very disgusting. And you can bet no one would ever try that with a Koran.
(I don’t blame your hubby for asking you to put a disclaimer up.)

Both are tasteless and offensive. Yet one is celebrated as a triumph of free speech while the other is categorized as hate.
I beg to differ. Bacon is never tasteless. Mmmmm, bacon . . .

ROLLS on the floor Laughing….
It is not art. Ridiculous. I’ll sign the petition.
The image would indeed be horrific to Muslims, and an incitement to violence for jihadists which make up too large a percentage of them.
This is unfortunate for them in both cases, because it is exactly what has caused the Islamic world to lose their technological head start half a millennium ago and to fall, now, so far behind.
When the Gutenberg movable type press was developed, it spread rapidly to many countries. But not the Middle East — because the press was cleaned and prepped with a pig’s-bristle brush, and Muslims (“Musselmen” at the time) could not bear the thought of a pig product actually touching the written name of Allah. And everything contained this name; it traditionally opened all written documents and Allah was constantly honored in their writings.
So, no printing press. Hundreds of years went by.
The first use of a movable-type printing press in the Middle East, so far as I know, was when Napoleon brought one with him to Cairo when he conquered it, in order to quickly produce propaganda flyers.
That three-hundred-year handicap still haunts the region.

Hello, Neat post. There is an issue with your web site in web explorer, might test this? IE still is the marketplace leader and a big portion of other folks will pass over your great writing due to this problem.
Thank you for your comment Tom Giong. I usually use Google Chrome so I’m not sure exactly what the problem is with IE but will check it out. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
